100% of proceeds (not just the profits) went to International Justice Mission (IJM) in their work to end slavery and human trafficking. We had pretty low expectations... (let's face it, it's not a glamorous or popular cause). But you guys blew us away. The shirt sold out in 15 hours. We restocked again. And again.
Sending rescue
With your help, we raised over $20,000 for IJM. Even better, you started conversations and awareness around slavery. Today is World Day against Trafficking in persons... such a privilege on this day to be able to send this support to IJM as they continue the fight.
How does it work?
IJM works on the cause of the issue, strengthening the justice systems in countries who have high levels of slavery and human trafficking. This changes the risk/reward equation for the perpetrators who would otherwise get away with these crimes without fear of incrimination. When this fear equation changes the rule of law eventually wins and people find other (lawful) ways of making money.
